The Berekum branch of the Melcom Ghana in the Bono Region has launched a blood donation campaign to support the blood bank of the Berekum Holy Family Hospital.

According to Mr Yusif Suleman, the Assistant Manager at the Berekum Branch of Melcom Ghana, the campaign was in line with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility to support the hospital to improve quality healthcare delivery services.

Speaking at a ceremony at Berekum, Mr Suleman called on the people to show love and support the campaign to help replenish the facility’s blood bank, saying donors would receive packages from Melcom.

Mr Williams Ansu, the Laboratory Technicians at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital, said the facility was in dire need of blood and expressed appreciation to the company for the campaign.

He said it was untrue that the facility sold blood and urged the people to disregard those rumours and appealed to them to support the campaign and donate their blood to replenish the blood bank.
