Spain’s National Women’s Football Team have announced that they have parted ways with head coach Montserrat Tome in the wake of the team’s loss in the 2025 Women’s Euros.

In an official statement released on Monday, August 11, the Spanish Football Federation commended Tome for her “work, professionalism and dedication”.

The statement added that the Tome will leave her role at the end of the month with her replacement already confirmed. Tome served as Spain’s first ever female head coach in 2023 after she replaced Luis Rubiales who led Spain to World Cup triumph but got sacked in the midst of the Luis Rubiales scandal.
