Accra Academy has announced plans to officially launch its 95th anniversary celebrations on May 29, 2026, under the theme “A Legacy of Pride, Purpose & Achievements.”

The launch event, which is open to the public, will take place at the Ridge Church Main Auditorium and is expected to bring together alumni, students, staff, parents, and other stakeholders.

According to the 95th Anniversary Planning Committee, the celebration will kick off a year-long programme aimed at reflecting on the school’s history while preparing for its centenary in 2031.

The event will be chaired by Edward Doe Adjaho, with Haruna Iddrisu expected to deliver the keynote address. Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo will attend as Special Guest of Honour.

Activities lined up for the launch include the unveiling of the official anniversary logo, presentation of a full events calendar, goodwill messages from stakeholders, and the screening of a documentary chronicling the school’s history.

Organisers will also use the occasion to raise funds for infrastructure development and launch the sale of anniversary merchandise to support planned activities throughout the celebration period.

Founded in 1931, Accra Academy is widely recognised as Ghana’s first private secondary school established by Ghanaians and is known for its strong tradition of academic excellence, discipline, and leadership.
