The Perez Dome came alive last Friday after a sizzling performance from iconic Ghanaian gospel singer Esther Smith.

Esther Smith, who has been away from the music scene for more than a decade, decided to make a comeback with a series of shows in Ghana.

Following a successful concert in Kumasi, it was the turn for music fans in the capital who witnessed a musical masterpiece from the gospel songstress.

Esther Smith, regarded as one of the best gospel singers of all time, brought a unique intensity to the stage, something she had barely displayed in the past.

She opened her performance with “Onyami Ben Ni,” and the responses from the hundreds of fans gathered in Perez Dome was gigantic.

For over an hour, Esther Smith performed most of her hit songs in the 2000s, and the mimicking and singing along from the crowd was synchronized in astounding fashion.

It was a flashback to some of the best gospel sounds that made waves years ago, establishing Esther Smith’s position as a true gospel music icon.

Other gospel musicians, including Morris Babyface, Noble Nketiah, Joe Mettle, ASP Kofi Sarpong, and Minister O.J., delivered some memorable performances on the music night, which was filled with anointing.

Some personalities who graced the concert include astute broadcaster Abeiku Santana, Kwame A Plus, Kwadwo Sheldon, Kwesi Ernest, Dancegodllyod, and a host of others.
