The Ghana Education Service has outlined key milestones in its ongoing teacher recruitment exercise, assuring applicants that the assessment of submitted applications is currently in progress.

In a statement dated June 23, 2026, and signed by the Deputy Director-General in charge of Management Services, Prof. Smile Dzisi, the Service said all applications are being reviewed to ensure applicants meet the requirements stated in the recruitment advertisement.

According to GES, the evaluation of applications is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026, after which qualified candidates will move to the next stage of the recruitment process.

The Service announced that the list of shortlisted applicants will be released on July 20, 2026. Following the publication of the shortlist, onboarding activities will begin at the regional and district levels.

The onboarding process is scheduled to run from July 20 to August 31, 2026, with successful applicants expected to officially assume duty on August 31, 2026.

GES expressed appreciation to all applicants for their interest in joining the Service and contributing to national development through education. The institution also thanked candidates for their patience and cooperation throughout the recruitment exercise.

The announcement is expected to provide reassurance and clarity to the thousands of applicants awaiting updates on the recruitment process.
