HR Network Africa, a human resource organization, commissioned a team of volunteers on Saturday, August 14, to collect data on salaries received by various professions in Ghana.
The ceremony which took place in Accra saw in attendance some of the organization’s committee members and partners.
The data collection exercise, the team believes, would go a long way to have a concrete data base for human resource practitioners in the country in their day to day workings with their employees especially in setting salaries or benchmarking.
Founder of HR Network Africa and the HR Director at Casa Trasacco Limited, Miss Cynthia Mawulawoe Kodowu said: “We had the privilege of outdooring our eight (8) member committee with four (4) partners who have volunteered to help Ghanaian Human Resource practitioners solve a lifelong problem of providing data on salaries for various functions played by employees in Ghana.”
She said that preliminary findings on the data on salaries, expected to be published by December 2021, will paint a clear picture of how much say a social media manager is paid in the oil and gas sector or same function in the banking sector or retail among others.
Miss Mawulawoe Kodowu expressed her gratitude to the experts who have volunteered to go on the ground to gather this data on salaries, charging them to passionately work to see their collective aim achieved.
Partners of the project are Dr. Eric Afful- Dadzie of Legon Business School, Mr. Senyo Adjabeng Head of HR – WBHO, Issah Yakubu, HR Officer at Ghana Gas and Emmaline Datey, CEO of ICS Africa.
