With less than 20 days to the December 7 general elections here in Ghana, inspirational Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall musician, JahPlaka has released a new song titled No Vote.
The track, finds Plaka exploring and throwing light on the ills of politicians, misleading citizens for their votes with lofty promises drafted as manifestos, ignoring the masses when they get what they want, the power.
Jahplaka is a Reggae, Dancehall, and Ragga Soca musician born Plakoo Joshua on 31st of December 1995, in the slums of Accra, Ghana.

Plaka’s song, No Vote, is a narrative of how several Ghanaians feel about the upcoming December 7 elections as he expresses, “Greetings Please, 3 minutes of your time I plead” first asking the listener to give him 3 minutes of their time for what he has to say, he then addressed various scenarios in this single about the poor system of governance from his point of view, and his reason note to vote this year.
His recent single off the EP ‘Listen Up’, was featured on Spotify’s top playlist ‘Dancehall Station’, an exclusive playlist platform for exciting dancehall music in the world, which featured breakout Jamaican sensation Koffee’s ‘Toast’.
