Convicted former fetish priestess turned evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa or Mama Pat, is set to be released on March 3, 2026, under Ghana’s prison remission policy.
Her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, confirmed to Citi News on February 27 that the release follows standard regulations and is not a special privilege.
Under the remission scheme, prison sentences are divided into three parts, with eligible inmates serving two-thirds of their term while one-third is remitted by the state.
Nana Agradaa was sentenced to 12 months in custody, which, after remission, amounts to eight months. Her sentence, applied retrospectively from July 3, 2025, concludes on March 3, 2026.
Richard Asare Baffour stressed that the remission policy applies to all qualifying inmates and that no special dispensation has been granted to his client.
