President John Dramani Mahama has officially sworn in Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong as the substantive Chief Fire Officer and Samuel Basintale Amadu as Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service.

The ceremony, held at the Presidency, marked the formal assumption of office for both officials, placing them at the helm of the Ghana National Fire Service and the Ghana Immigration Service, respectively.

In her role as Chief Fire Officer, Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong will oversee nationwide fire prevention, public safety education, and emergency response operations. Samuel Basintale Amadu, as Comptroller-General, will be responsible for managing Ghana’s borders, regulating migration, and enforcing immigration laws.

President Mahama urged both leaders to perform their duties with integrity, professionalism, and dedication to national service.

Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong, appointed on March 24, 2025, is the first woman to hold the position of Chief Fire Officer. She previously served as Deputy Chief Fire Officer and Director of Fire Safety, earning recognition for her commitment and leadership.

Samuel Basintale Amadu was also appointed to lead the Ghana Immigration Service in March 2025, bringing experience to his role in overseeing border and immigration management.
