The Wa High Court has sentenced Shariff Abdulai, infamously known as ‘Cristos,’ to life imprisonment with hard labour for the murder of 23 people across Ghana.
The ruling was delivered on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, by Justice Osei-Wusu Antwi after Abdulai pleaded guilty.
According to the Upper West Regional Police Command, Abdulai admitted to killing sixteen people in Wa, five in Bole, and one each in Banda Nkwanta and Bamboi.
He was arrested on October 6, 2025, following intelligence-led police operations and was later arraigned before the High Court.
The convict will serve his sentence at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison. The Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring public safety.
