Aba Arthur, who recently became Diaspora Ambassador for the Black Star International Film Festival, is leading a new project designed to showcase Ghanaian and African creativity to the world.
Speaking on Channel One TV’s Breakfast Daily, the Black Panther actress revealed that the production, in partnership with Kobina deGraft Johnson of Anibok Studios, will explore themes of relationships, friendships, and authentic Ghanaian experiences while projecting a positive image of the country internationally.
She stressed the importance of Africans telling their own stories accurately to highlight the richness of their culture.
Her appointment aligns with the festival’s goal of connecting local creatives with the diaspora, fostering collaboration, mentorship, and greater global visibility for African cinema.
