Angela List, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nguvu Mining Limited, has been elected as the First Vice President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines at the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting in Accra.
The appointment places her in the Chamber’s second-highest leadership role, where she will work closely with the President to influence industry policy, promote best practices, and support sustainable development within Ghana’s mining sector.
A respected figure in the mining industry, Madam List leads several mining operations across West Africa, including Adamus Resources Limited, Northern Ashanti Mining Company Limited, Segala Mining Company, Samira Hill Gold Mine, and Poura Resources Limited. She also has a strong presence in Mali through SEMICO-SA and MIKO-SA, two companies contributing to the country’s mining growth.
Speaking after her election, Madam List described the position as a privilege and a responsibility. She pledged to apply her more than two decades of experience in the industry to help advance the Chamber’s objectives and ensure that Ghana derives greater value from its mineral wealth.
She further encouraged more women to pursue careers in mining, emphasizing the important role women can play in transforming the sector and breaking long-standing barriers.
Before establishing herself as a leading mining executive, Madam List served as Executive Director of BCM Ghana Limited and BCM International Limited, where she helped expand the companies into major players in the mining services industry.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration from the University of Ghana and both an MSc and MBA from Manchester University.
Over the years, her contributions to business and mining have earned her several prestigious honours, including the Global Power Female Award in 2025, Female CEO of the Year in 2023, and the Asantehene Award from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for her exceptional impact on Ghana’s mining industry.
