Mukaila Inusah, a 45-year-old resident of Okanta near Kadjebi, in the Oti Region, died instantly when he accidentally crashed his motor bike into a stationary car at Okanta on Friday.

Mr Mukaila, who was returning from Hohoe in the Volta Region, died under the bizarre circumstance, leaving residents of the area in a fix.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) about the accident, Mr Kpeguni Abdul Razak, the Assemblyman of the Okanta Electoral Area, said the deceased was returning from Hohoe after visiting a friend and unfortunately ran into the parked car with registration number GS 7659-10, which was discharging pure water to customers at Okanta.

Mr Kpeguni, a Muslim himself, said Police Personnel were at the accident scene and wanted to take the body to the morgue, but he objected, as it was against the Muslim customs and traditions. Mr Kpeguni said they agreed but asked him to go to the Court for a report, which he did.

He described the late Mukaila as a humble and respected person, who was ready to assist anyone who came his way. Mr Solomon Yorm Nukudede, a farmer, whose farm Mukaila used to work, described him as a hardworking man and said it was painful that he lost him.

Superintendent Frank Nana Asomaning, the Kadjebi District Commander of the Ghana Police Service, confirmed the accident to the GNA.

Supt. Asomaning, told the GNA that he was yet to come to terms with why the deceased ran into a stationary car that was parked off the road. The deceased has since been buried in accordance with the Muslim custom and traditions.
