John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Brazzaville to attend the official inauguration of Denis Sassou N’Guesso, who has been re-elected for another five-year term as President of the Republic of the Congo.
The trip follows shortly after President Mahama launched the government’s Free Primary Healthcare Programme in Dodowa on April 15.
He is expected to join other African leaders and high-ranking dignitaries at the ceremony scheduled for Thursday morning, which will officially mark the start of President Sassou N’Guesso’s new term in office.
The visit also highlights Ghana’s ongoing efforts to deepen diplomatic and cooperative relations across the continent, particularly with countries in Central Africa.
