Medeama SC returned to winning ways with a convincing 2-0 victory against Eleven Wonders, ending a six-game winless streak.
Determined to bounce back after slipping from the top of the table, Medeama made a strong start at the Tarkwa and Abosso Stadium, scoring twice within the opening 30 minutes.
Kelvin Obeng opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a header from a corner, before Salim Adams doubled the lead just four minutes later with a stunning long-range free-kick.
Earlier, goalkeeper Joseph Baah had made a crucial save to deny Kingsley Braye, tipping his header over the bar.
Despite efforts from the visitors, Medeama maintained control and went into halftime with a two-goal advantage. After the break, the home side pushed for more goals, but Eleven Wonders tightened their defence to avoid a heavier defeat.
The result lifts Medeama back to the top of the table, pending other fixtures, while Eleven Wonders’ struggles continue, extending their winless run to 10 matches—nine of which have ended in defeat—as they remain rooted at the bottom with relegation looming.
