Shatta Wale has added two more international accolades to his career after winning two awards at the 43rd International Reggae and World Music Awards over the weekend in Florida, USA.

According to a statement released by his management on May 18, 2026, the Ghanaian musician secured Best African Dancehall Entertainer and also won Concert of the Year for his annual event, ShattaFest.

The statement described the win as a major milestone, noting that “the African Dancehall King emerged as a double award winner” at the ceremony, which celebrates reggae and world music talent from across the globe.

Management also expressed gratitude to the organisers of the awards for their continued recognition of African music on the global stage, as well as to fans worldwide—particularly the Shatta Movement fanbase—for their “unwavering support, votes, and dedication.”

They added that the achievement further cements Shatta Wale’s status as “one of Africa’s leading musical exports and a major force in global dancehall culture.”
