    BOTI WATERFALLS

The Boti waterfalls, located in the Eastern region of Ghana is believed to have been discovered by a white Catholic Priest, who used the base of the falls as an entertainment ground for he and his friends.

When the volume of water at Boti falls is high especially during the rainy season, there is ‘a mating ceremony’ between the ‘male and ‘female’ lower falls. This ceremony is ‘graced’ by the rainbow that is formed by the splashing water.

A visit from the former president of Ghana (Dr. Kwame Nkrumah) in 1961, pushed the fall into its status as the most attractive and talked about falls in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

After being amazed at the splendor and grandeur of the falls, he tasked the Regional Commissioner to construct a rest house at the falls. Now, visitors descend over 70 steps when they visit, which offer a timely exercise for people who have not had an exercise in a long time and the pool formed at the base of the falls should provide a refreshing cooling down effect for those who want to take a bath.

    THE WLI WATERFALLS

Wli Waterfalls is the highest waterfall in Ghana and the tallest in West Africa. It has a lower and an upper fall.
Known locally as Agoomatsa waterfalls – meaning, “Allow Me to Flow”, it is located in the Hohoe municipality of the Volta Region.

A walk through the forest of the Agoomatsa wildlife sanctuary offers a chance to see a large colony of fruit bats, butterflies, birds, monkeys and baboons.

    TAGBO FALLS

Tagbo Falls is a waterfall near Mount Afadjato in Ghana, located at Liati Wote, approximately 27 kilometres east of the township of Hohoe. The water falls down in several stages, with the last stage being about 60 m. high. The area is surrounded by rainforest.

There is an amazing lodge in the area for hikers and tourist to have a moment of relaxation. Visitors can enjoy their stay at the Tagbo falls lodge, located on the edge of Liati Wote, a friendly village on the foothill of Ghana’s highest peak Mt. Afadjato, and within walking distance of the Tagbo Waterfalls.

Enjoy spacious rooms with comfortable beds, mosquito nets and hot water shower. We offer two double rooms and a family room with private bathrooms, and two twin rooms with shared bathroom, as well as a special menu, with flavours of the region and beyond. We offer Tagbo Traditional dishes as well as Tagbo World dishes.

    ASENEMA WATERFALLS

Asenema Waterfall is one of the hidden gems in the rainforest of the Akuapem Hills outside of Accra and north of Aburi. Asenema is only 15 minutes from Akropong and just 5 minute walk from the main road along a marked trail.

Asenema waterfall feeds a lively little stream nearby. The falls usually has a very good flow in the rainy season. The drive to get to the falls is wonderfully scenic, with beautiful views across the rolling hills that are so typical of the region.
