Staff, management, and customers of Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited on Saturday embarked on a health walk through the principal streets of Accra to commemorate the Bank’s 20th anniversary.
The 10-kilometer walk was on the theme: “20 Years of Impact, A Lifetime of Shared Growth.”
The walk, which began at the Bank’s Head Office at Zenith Heights, Ridge, took participants through key routes in the capital, including Ridge Roundabout, the Accra Financial Centre, Independence Avenue, and the Ako Adjei Interchange before returning to the starting point.
Mr. Henry Oroh, the Managing Director, said the exercise formed part of a series of activities lined up to mark two decades of the Bank’s operations in Ghana.
Mr. Oroh said the health walk reflected the Bank’s commitment to promoting wellness, teamwork, and social
engagement among staff and stakeholders, while celebrating its steady growth over the years.
“Zenith Bank’s success story is not only about financial performance, but about the people who make the journey worthwhile,” he said.
He said the walk symbolised the shared energy, resilience, and partnership that had sustained the bank for 20 years.
“The Bank’s 20-year milestone highlights its focus on innovation, customer service excellence, and community development, reaffirming its place as a leading player in Ghana’s banking sector,” he added
He said 20 years ago, the bank began a journey fuelled by vision, driven by innovation, and anchored in service excellence.
The MD said this year’s health walk was particularly special and meaningful as it was a symbolic gesture of the journey they had taken together.
Mr Oroh said over the past 20 years, they had built a financial institution that stands tall in Ghana and commands respect across Africa and the globe.
He said the bank would continue to maintain a robust capital adequacy ratio well above regulatory requirements, reinforcing our financial stability and resilience, amongst others.
He commended the media for the immense support in telling the bank’s stories and sharing their impact with Ghana and the world.
The event also featured free medical screening and wellness tips for participants.
Some customers who joined the walk lauded the Bank for maintaining close relationships with clients and for initiatives that promoted good health and corporate social responsibility.
