Mr Dela Gadzanku, Regional Chair for Volta, Oti, and Eastern of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) has called on the government to incorporate the needs of AGI into the 2025 budget.

The needs he said include access to credit facilities, infrastructure, transportation, and other incentives.

He said all the concerns of AGI may not be fulfilled within the period of four years, but he was optimistic that there could be favourable outcomes that will help their clients and the industries.

Mr Gadzanku was speaking with Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, Eastern Regional Minister, when he and his team paid a courtesy call on her.

They welcomed her on her new appointment as the Eastern Regional Minister and presented a citation of congratulations to her.

He said the appointment was an affirmative of President Mahama’s believe in women empowerment.

The Regional Chairperson of AGI said the association is a not-for-profit business organization established in 1957 and incorporated in 1958 by a group of indigenous manufacturers in Ghana.

It aims to contribute to the growth and development of industries through effective policy advocacy and business support services in administration, financial, legal, technical, and operational assistance.

He pledged the association’s commitment and support to the course of building Ghana and improving the regional and local economy.

He said AGI in Volta, Oti, and Eastern regions have their secretariat at Ho, and will soon open an office in Koforidua, to cater for the needs of its increasing members in the region.

Mrs Awatey, the Regional Minister said her doors were opened for healthy collaborations that will help develop the region and therefore welcomed AGI.
