Asante Kotoko have confirmed the signing of striker Sampson Eduku midway through the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season.

The transfer was confirmed when concerns with the player’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC) were resolved, and also passed his medicals.

Eduku signed for Iraqi club Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya after an outstanding season with Tamale City in 2022-23, during which he scored 14 league goals.
Eduku ended his stint with Iraqi side Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya after one season, having made few appearances in their league.

Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, head coach of Asante Kotoko, has expressed excitement about the player joining the club.
“Sampson is a proven goal scorer with great versatility and experience. His ability to find the back of the net and create opportunities for others will add a new dimension to our attack.

“We’re excited to have him join us and believe he’ll make an immediate impact,” he said.
Eduku is expected to spend a two-and-a-half season with the Porcupine Warriors and could feature in Kotoko’s next Ghana Premier League match against Vision FC next week.
