The Adenta Circuit Court has granted bail to Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, widely known as Counsellor Lutterodt, after he was brought before the court for allegedly urging some youth to storm the residence of the late highlife icon Daddy Lumba with pickaxes.
Lutterodt faces one count of offensive conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail set at GH¢50,000 with two sureties who must be justified.
According to the prosecution, Lutterodt, a biomedical clinical engineer living at SSNIT Flats in Adenta, Accra, was arrested after police discovered a video circulating widely on Facebook.
The video, which was shared on the Kwesi TV platform on Monday, March 9, 2026, allegedly captured him calling on youth to storm the residence of the late musician.
In the footage cited in the charge sheet, he reportedly urged some Ga youth in Accra not to wait for the police but to go to the musician’s residence with pickaxes to search for the location where the body might have been buried.
Prosecutors said the video prompted police to arrest him. During the course of investigations, another video reportedly surfaced showing a group of young people believed to be Ga residents gathered at the late musician’s residence.
The prosecution informed the court that investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
