At a conference in Accra to commemorate 15 years of impacting Ghana’s educational transformation, Edify and partnering schools resolved to deepen their collaboration and grow the organisation to benefit more communities.

The Conference, on the theme: “15 years of impacting low-fee private schools in Ghana”, also discussed approaches to raise local donors to support the work of Edify as part of a broader sustainability plan.

Addressing the gathering, Madam Florentine Adjoa Ansah-Asare, Country Director, Edify Ghana, said 15 years of Edify’s work in Ghana had been marked by resilience, determination, and strong desire to make a lasting impact.

She thanked school leaders, financial institutions, trainers, and supporting partners who had contributed significantly to the growth and expansion of the organisation since it began operations in Ghana in 2010.

Madam Ansah-Asare said as part of measures to make the programme more sustainable, the organisation would focus on raising local donors to support its operations.

She said “the work of Edify so far is just the beginning” and rallied all partners to continue to work together to grow the organisation to achieve its long-term goals.

“As we interact and learn together today, let us dream of what we intend to accomplish in the next phase of our partnership. Let us dream of how we can be intentional about Christ-centred education, and talk about how we can support each other into flourishing, and sustain the work of Edify,” she said.

Headquartered in San Diego, California, USA, Edify operates in 16 countries (9 in Africa and 7 in Latin America).

The Organisation’s mission is to Improve and expand sustainable Christ-centred Education Globally, with a vision of flourishing Godly nations.

In an interview, the Reverend Nana Kyei Amponsah, Proprietor of Harvest Christian Academy in Accra, expressed profound gratitude to Edify for supporting the growth and expansion of the school since it joined the organisation in 2020.

He said Edify provided the school with “direction and assistance” to navigate the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Danny Dadson, Director, Daddies Firm Foundation School, Cape Coast, said Edify had been supporting the school to improve its internal control and accountability measures.

He said through the support, the school had strengthened its internal structures to attract grants from international institution and expose their students to international competitions.

“Partnering with Edify has not been in vain. It has been an awesome experience. They’ve really impacted our school, and they are still doing that,” Mr Dadson said.

Edify aims to be a catalyst for providing quality Christ-centred education to at least 100 million children by 2040.
