Eunique Africa Travel & Tours has donated some items to the SOS Children’s Village in Tema as its contribution to help the children get the best education for national development.

The items included clothes, stationery, shoes, bags, and play kits. Mrs. Eunice Feathers, the Chief Executive Officer of Eunique Africa Travel & Tours, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that her office had donated to the children’s home three consecutive times. She said each donation brought great feedback, which served as a motivation to those in the diaspora who contributed to buying the items.

She appealed to other organizations and individuals to help the home to cater for the children, as they were the future of the country. Mrs. Feathers reiterated that education was important for children and young people to become better citizens, therefore the need to help educate all children in Ghana.

Touching on the operations of the company, she said it aims at bringing travelers from across the world to Ghana and contribute to the country’s economic growth through the promotion of tourism.

Madam Comfort Asamoah Brago, the assistant mother representative at the SOS Children’s Village, who received the items, said the village had about 50 homes, with each home housing six children with a mother and an auntie to care for and train them.

She said even though they received some support from organizations and philanthropists, they still had some challenges that needed more support to help maintain their buildings for the safety of the children at the home.

“For the past 50 years, with donations from people, most of the children have come out to become prominent and respectable members of society,” she said. She expressed appreciation to the company for always putting smiles on the faces of the children through their kind gestures.
