Mr. Jerry Ameko, the Adaklu District Chief Executive nominee, Monday stated that he envisioned a stronger, deeper grassroots engagement and strategic governance to ensure sustainable development of Adaklu if endorsed.

He said his vision was to translate the principles of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into practical actions that would foster economic growth, political stability and community empowerment. Mr. Ameko stated this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Adaklu Waya.

“If I am endorsed by the Assembly members, I will collaborate with the traditional authorities of the area to achieve my vision for the district,” he noted. Mr. Ameko said his educational, political experience and influential roles would be of great advantage in the discharge of his duties.

Mr. Ameko is widely respected in both political and professional circles with strong endorsement from not only the NDC but from traditional authorities, and Youth groups.

With a solid foundation in education, governance and politics, Mr. Ameko remains a key figure in the development of Adaklu, working tirelessly to build a brighter future for it.

He was a former Assemblyman of the Adaklu District Assembly and a member of the Audit Report Implementation and Finance and Administration Sub-Committes. He also chaired the Natural Resources Sub-Committee and the Adaklu Area Council.

He is currently serving as the Head of Planning Monitoring and Evaluation at the Central Tongu District Education Office. Mr. Ameko, who is the incumbent Adaklu Constituency Chairman of the NDC, was nominated by President John Mahama alongside 71 others to serve as Chief Executives of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in eight regions of the country.
