The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the closure of its Premium Passport Application Centres in Accra and Kumasi, effective February 20, 2026.

In a press statement issued on Monday, February 23, the Ministry indicated that the decision affects all applicants currently using the premium facilities, especially those with pending applications. Affected clients have been advised to visit their respective Regional Passport Application Centres to continue processing their passport requests.

Applicants who require further assistance are encouraged to contact the Passport Office Client Service Unit on 0302-754-200 for support and guidance during the transition period.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality public service and assured the public of continued efficient passport processing despite the shutdown of the premium centres.
