Rising star Fridayy has just released the official music video for “Proud of Me”, featuring rap legend Meek Mill. The song, which comes from his brand-new album “Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not,” is a deeply emotional and introspective record where he opens up about loss, pain, and perseverance.

One of the most heart-wrenching moments in the song comes when Fridayy reflects on the passing of his father, singing:

“I lost my soul when I lost my daddy…”

This raw and vulnerable lyric captures the depth of his grief, showing how his father’s death changed him forever. Throughout the track, Fridayy expresses his struggles with the void left behind, while also trying to push forward and make his loved ones proud.

Meek Mill, who is no stranger to hardships and personal loss, delivers a powerful verse that complements Fridayy’s pain-filled vocals. He reflects on his own struggles, from growing up in tough circumstances to losing close friends and family. Together, the two artists create an anthem of resilience—one that speaks to anyone who has ever lost someone they love but continues to push forward.

The official music video, now streaming on YouTube, enhances the song’s emotional weight. The visuals depict scenes of reflection, solitude, and determination, showing Fridayy dealing with his pain while still striving for greatness.

There’s a powerful contrast in the video—dark, emotional shots representing loss and struggle, and brighter moments symbolizing hope, success, and honoring his father’s legacy. Meek Mill’s presence in the video adds an extra layer of authenticity, as he, too, has built a career out of turning pain into power.

“Proud of Me” is one of the standout tracks from Fridayy’s newly released album, “Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not“—a project that sees him diving into themes of love, loss, struggle, and self-discovery. The album perfectly blends his soulful voice with deep, introspective storytelling, making it a must-listen for anyone who appreciates music with meaning.
