    Yesterday marked Ghana’s leading artificial intelligence (AI) event, where the official winners of the Ghana AI Summit & Awards 2025 were announced.

    The event celebrated individuals, organizations, and initiatives that have made outstanding contributions to AI innovation and application across various sectors.

    This year’s awards recognized groundbreaking AI-driven solutions that are transforming industries in Ghana. Among the standout innovations is an AI-powered system for cocoa disease detection, poised to revolutionize agriculture by enhancing crop health and productivity. Additionally, AI-driven solutions are tackling complex business challenges, while AI-powered credit scoring systems are promoting financial inclusion. These remarkable advancements, alongside other pioneering innovations, underscore AI’s crucial role in fostering sustainable development.

    Dr Kwami Ahiabenu, Chair of the Ghana AI Summit 2025, highlighted the significance of the awards, describing them as a key milestone in Ghana’s journey towards becoming a leader in Africa’s emerging AI sector. He stated that recognizing innovative solutions will serve as a catalyst, driving further advancements and fostering continued AI growth in Ghana.
