Seeds of Fortune – Ghana, in collaboration with the Black Star Pearls of Ghana, has hosted the third edition of its Girls Start-Up workshop in Koforidua, highlighted by the Pull-Up and Pitch competition.
The two-day event, held at Koforidua Technical University, brought together around 50 female students from Oti Boateng Senior High School, Ghana Senior High School, New Juaben Senior High School, and Oyoko Methodist Senior High School.
According to the organisers, the programme was aimed at equipping participants with hands-on skills in digital literacy, business idea development and planning, website design, mentorship, and pitching.
Lady Juliet Nyarko Adansi, Country Lead for Seeds of Fortune – Ghana, emphasized the importance of preparing girls for the digital economy. She observed that technology now plays a central role in work, communication, and living standards, and highlighted the need to create avenues for young women to fully explore their potential.
Three students were honoured with laptops and certificates of merit for excelling in the pitch competition.
