Ghanaian songstress Gyakie has finally set a date for the release of her long-awaited debut album. Taking to her social media platforms, the “Forever” hitmaker announced that her album titled “AFTER MIDNIGHT” will officially be released on 29th August 2025.

Sharing her excitement with fans, Gyakie wrote:

“On 29th August 2025 my debut album ‘AFTER MIDNIGHT’ is yours. Here goes the official TRAILER & INTRO for this 3-year journey that felt like a never-ending story, but we’re here now! Be ready, I have so many beautiful things to show you.”

The trailer opens with a captivating scene of a young girl—playing the role of Young Gyakie—seated on a bed with headphones on, deeply immersed in music. Behind her, posters of legendary musicians like Bob Marley are displayed, symbolizing the global and timeless inspirations that shaped Gyakie’s artistry.

Suddenly, the sound of cultural drums for the Adowa dance fills the room, and two ladies appear gracefully performing the traditional Adowa steps beside the young Gyakie. The scene beautifully blends heritage with modern music, a theme Gyakie has often embodied in her artistry.

The visual then transitions into the present day, revealing the Gyakie we know and love today—signifying growth, transformation, and the evolution of her journey as an artist.

Describing the album as a “3-year journey that felt like a never-ending story”, Gyakie hinted that AFTER MIDNIGHT will be deeply personal and filled with creative gems for her fans. The project is expected to showcase not just her vocal talent, but also her storytelling ability and cultural pride.

With this bold introduction, anticipation is already soaring, as fans across Ghana and beyond count down the days to experience Gyakie’s debut body of work.
