The Head Pastor of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC–Jesus Temple) and Overseer of ICGC churches in the Eastern and Volta regions, Rev. Dickson Tuffour Sarpong, has urged Ghanaians to demonstrate love, compassion, and forgiveness during the Christmas season, stressing that the birth of Jesus Christ represents love.

He referenced John 3:16, which says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life,” to underscore the true meaning of Christmas.

Rev. Sarpong made the call while leading a delegation from the church to feed patients at the Eastern Regional Hospital as part of the church’s Christmas outreach.

“Today, we are sharing proper Ghanaian jollof rice and drinks. We are feeding over 900 patients and some hospital staff,” he said.

He noted that many patients admitted to the hospital may not have relatives or loved ones to visit them during the festive season.

“For some of the patients here, they may not even have anyone to visit them, but we are here to celebrate Christmas with them and also share the word of God,” Rev. Sarpong stated.

The clergyman also encouraged Ghanaians to embrace forgiveness and peaceful coexistence, especially during the festive period.

“Ghana is a very peaceful country, and we must continue to live together in harmony. If someone wrongs you, it is natural to feel hurt, but after a day or two, let it go. Forgive, forget, and move on, because our God is a forgiving God,” he added.
