Mr Eric Edem Agbana, the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, has joined the Muslim community in Dzodze to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, emphasising the importance of peace, unity, and national prayers for the progress of the country.

The celebration, which took place at Mite Park in Dzodze, brought together hundreds of Muslims to mark the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection. The MP participated in the prayers and festivities, reaffirming his commitment to fostering religious harmony and community development.

Ahead of the Eid celebration, Mr. Agbana made a donation of essential food items, including bags of rice, bags of sugar, mackerel, tin tomatoes, and other supplies, to support the Muslim community during their spiritual journey. His donation was aimed at easing the burden on families as they came together to celebrate the holy occasion.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after the prayers, the MP underscored the importance of solidarity and religious tolerance in building a strong and united nation. “Our nation’s strength lies in its religious diversity, and we must always strive to live together in harmony and mutual respect,” he stated. He also encouraged the Muslim community to continue praying for the peace and prosperity of the country, as well as for all leaders, stressing that national development could only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and togetherness.

The MP pledged to continue supporting all religious groups in the constituency, ensuring that development and inclusivity remain a priority. Alhaji Ibrahim Mahama, Chief Imam of Dzodze, expressed profound appreciation to Mr. Agbana for his support and presence at the Eid celebration. He commended the MP for always standing with the Muslim community and for making efforts to address their needs.

“We appreciate your kindness and the time you take to celebrate with us. Your generosity means a lot, and we continue to pray for you and the nation,” the Chief Imam said.
