The semi-final lineup for this year’s MTN FA Cup is complete following a thrilling quarter-finals that took place over the weekend.
Asante Kotoko cruised into the semis after securing a 2-1 victory over True Democracy at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Saaka Dauda and Kwame Opoku were on target for the Porcupine Warriors as they survived a big scare from Division One side True Democracy.
Asante Kotoko would now face Berekum Chelsea, who defeated Bechem United 1-0 in another quarter-final encounter, courtesy Stephen Amankonah’s solitary strike.
It would be an all-Division One League affair when Attram De Visser takes on Golden Kick in the other semi-final encounter.
Division One side Golden Kick caused a major upset as they defeated Premier League side Karela United 5-3 on penalties after regulation time ended scoreless.
Attram Di Visser also advanced to the semis for the first time in their history after defeating PAC Academy 4-3 on penalties after it was scoreless after 90 minutes.
