Mr. Samuel Adobah, President of Network for Assin Development (NAD), has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to consider appointing a minister from Assin land.

In a press release, he said the Assin enclave had been a vital hub for Ghana’s growth, providing an abundance of natural resources and human capital.

Despite this, he noted, the land had consistently been overlooked for key appointment and allocations, making the area marginalized and underrepresented.

Mr. Adobah said, ministerial appointment would not only be a well-deserved recognition of Assin’s role in Ghana’s progress, but also a crucial step towards ensuring the area’s continued development.

He reminded President Mahama that the people of Assin North promised to maintain their Member of Parliament in the just ended elections and urged him to offer them a ministerial appointment to help move the area forward.
