    Raphaelina wins Miss Teen Tourism Ghana

    A 16 year old student of Datus International School, Raphaelina wins Miss Teen Tourism Ghana was last Saturday, June 24, crowned Miss Teen Tourism Ghana.

    The event which took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Bugum Hall saw Raphaelina beat five other girls to win the coveted crown.

    The competition began with an introduction of the contestants namely Britney Barry Cooke, Pamela Milad Chahine, Junia Del, Keiziah Barnes, Petra Ama Agyeiwaa Kumi and Raphaelina Naana Asare.

    After the introductions by the ladies, the judges made up of Mrs Mawuena Trebarh- a Communication strategist, Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong- Media Consultant, Kofi Kakra Kusi- Deputy PRO for Ghana Tourism Authority, Model Giesella, musician S3fa and Kofi Duah of Graphic Showbiz asked the contestants the necessary questions to test their intelligence.

    Overcoming a series of engaging challenges, including exams, essays, captivating presentations, and discussions on topics ranging from tourism to arts and culture, the four remarkable finalists showcased their exceptional qualities in their pursuit of the coveted crown.

    Raphaelina won the hearts of the judges based on how intelligently she answered her questions. She also distinguished herself during the essay presentation much to the admiration of both the judges and patrons.

    After hours of interesting engagements, Raphaelina emerged winner of the competition while Petra Ama Agyeiwaa Kumi, who claimed the title of Miss Teen Tourism Earth Ghana 2023 took the first runner-up postion.

    Junia Del and Keziah Barnes who were awarded the titles of Miss Teen Tourism International Ghana 2023 and Miss Teen Tourism Globe 2023, respectively, took the second and third runners-up.

    Raphaelina and her runners up will represent Ghana come Tuesday, August 1 to 20 at this year’s Miss Teen Tourism World when Ghana hosts the prestigious event.

    In an interview with Graphic Showbiz after the event, Raphaelina mentioned her excitement about winning the coveted title.

    “After Calista won the ultimate Miss Teen Tourism World 2022 in the Philippines, I knew it was my turn to win it and I am glad I did. Now, the bigger task ahead of me is to favourably compete with other girls from different countries as we host this year’s edition,” she said.

    Miss Teen Tourism Beauty pageant seeks to raise future leaders who will unite through tourism to sell their countries to the world.

    It also seeks to bring the candidates to understand, “we are one people irrespective of our skin, race, religion or language,

    Last Saturday’s pageant was organised by Platinum Network owned by Quophi Okyeame and Stacy Amoateng.

    Calista Amoateng won the Miss Teen Tourism World 2022 in the Philippines when she represented Ghana.
