Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Ghana’s music scene just got its biggest green light for 2026! Charterhouse, the powerhouse organizers behind the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), officially kicked off the entry submission phase for the 27th edition on January 16, 2026. This marks the exciting first step toward celebrating another year of outstanding talent, creativity, and impact in Ghanaian music.
After the unforgettable 26th TGMA in 2025 which saw massive wins, electric performances, and King Promise’s historic Artiste of the Year moment the spotlight now turns to the music released throughout 2025. If your single, EP, album, or production dropped between January 1 and December 31, 2025, this is your moment to shine.
    Who Can Submit and How?
Charterhouse is casting a wide net: artistes, managers, record labels, producers, composers, instrumentalists, industry stakeholders, and even members of the public are all invited to submit eligible works. The process is straightforward but strict everything must go through the official portal only.
Key details you need to know:
    • Eligibility period: Works commercially released from January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025
    • Submission deadline: Monday, February 8, 2026 (mark your calendars — time is ticking!)
    • Official portal: entry.ghanamusicawards.com
No emails, WhatsApp, or alternative channels will be accepted — submissions outside the portal simply won’t count. The portal is live and ready, with a clear countdown showing just over three weeks left as of today (January 17, 2026). Head over early to avoid last-minute rushes and technical glitches.
Why the TGMA Still Matters in 2026
Now in its 27th year, the Telecel Ghana Music Awards remains the gold standard for recognizing excellence across genres from highlife and hiplife to afrobeats, gospel, hip-hop, dancehall, and beyond.
It’s more than an awards show; it’s a festival that spotlights Ghanaian talent on the global stage, boosts careers, and unites the industry.
Whether you’re an emerging act dropping fire in 2025 or a veteran with a career-defining project, getting your entries in now positions you for nominations, public voting rounds, and potentially that life-changing win.
Call to Action: Don’t Sleep on This
To all Ghanaian creatives and music lovers: This is the time to rally. Share this with your favorite artistes, producers, and labels. Support the culture by ensuring the best of 2025 gets the recognition it deserves.
The journey to the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards has officially begun. Submit your entries, stay tuned for nominee announcements later this year, and get ready for another historic celebration of Ghana music.
