Ghanaian rapper, singer, and producer Quamina MP had an unforgettable homecoming this past weekend as he returned to perform at his former high school — Mary’s Boys School in Takoradi, where his music journey first began.

In an emotional post on Instagram, the artist reflected on the significance of the moment, revealing that during his time as a student, he served as the Entertainment Prefect, organizing the very school events he now headlines as a nationally recognized performer.

“Short story. I was the entertainment prefect at Mary’s Boys School in Takoradi back then lol and this was where I started making music. Yesterday, I pulled up to perform for the first time at the same event I was managing back then and this was a full circle moment for me fr! 💙💙”

This wasn’t just another show — it was a return to the roots. A symbolic bridge between past and present. A boy with dreams turned into a man with influence, returning to the very stage where it all started.

Long before the fame, streaming numbers, and festival bookings, Quamina MP was just a boy with a dream and a passion for music. As Entertainment Prefect, he was responsible for organizing school events, bringing students together through talent shows and fun programs. But behind the scenes, those events doubled as a training ground — a place where he would first experiment with performance, sound, and songwriting.

Now years later, standing before a crowd of students sitting where he once sat, he became the living example of what’s possible when talent meets determination.

Photos captured by @mariscans.artistry show the artist in his element, performing with high energy and authenticity while receiving loud cheers and admiration from the crowd. For many students, it was more than a show — it was inspiration in real time.

The performance wasn’t just a proud moment for Quamina MP; it was a celebration for the entire Mary’s Boys School community. Staff and students alike were visibly moved by his presence — not just because he’s a star, but because he represents one of their own who dared to dream big and followed through.

It’s a moment that resonates with anyone who has ever looked back at where they started and realized just how far they’ve come.

Known for hits like “Wiase Y3d3,” “Amanfour Girls,” “Kenkey Seller,” and a string of successful collaborations, Quamina MP has carved a name for himself as one of Ghana’s most dynamic and relatable young artists. As he continues to push the boundaries musically and evolve creatively, moments like these — real, raw, and rooted — remind fans of the heart and hustle behind the brand.
