Voting ends successfully, counting begins at Vui AME Zion polling station

The 2024 general presidential and parliamentary election has ended successfully at AME Zion basic polling station at Vui, a suburb of Keta constituency in the Volta Region and counting of ballot papers would begin after sorting.

A total of 480 registered eligible voters out of 742 expected voters exercised their franchise.

Mr Amos Dela Ashiagbor, the presiding officer at Vui AME Zion polling centre, told the Ghana News Agency that the exercise, which commenced at 0700 hours and ended at 1700 hours was smooth and successful.

“We did not encounter any challenges during the entire processes, and l thanked all the party agents present here for their cooperation,” he said.

The various political party agents GNA engaged expressed satisfaction about the exercise with the hope that their various parties will win the election after the counting.

GNA observed various party supporters, security personnel and other election observers were monitoring the counting section closely to observe every moment of the exercise.

Nobody was in the queue as at 1700 hours closing time at Vui.

Meanwhile, a total number of 50,677 eligible voters at 128 polling stations were expected to exercise their franchise at Keta in the election.

Compilation of presidential and parliamentary results from all the polling stations in the constituency were expected to be held at the Keta EC office in the Municipal Assembly.
