The Avenor Traditional Council under the leadership of Togbe Dorglo Anumah VI, President of the Council and Paramount Chief of the Avenor Traditional Area, has extended a congratulatory message to Mr Benard Ahiafor, the new first Deputy Speaker and MP for Akatsi South.
“Your success is a testament to your dedication, hard work, and the trust the people of Akatsi South Constituency have in your ability to represent them effectively.”
“This significant achievement underscores your commitment to serving the people and fostering the development of our beloved constituency.”
The statement, released on Tuesday, January 7, and signed by Mr Raphael Ameku on behalf of Togbega Dorglo, expressed optimism and confidence that Mr Ahiafor’s new leadership position would bring progress and unity to the entire traditional area and beyond.
“As you prepare to continue in this important role, we are confident that your leadership will bring progress and unity to our community. We look forward to working closely with you to promote initiatives that will enhance the well-being and resilience of our people and the growth of Akatsi South Constituency.”
Togbe Dorglo Anumah also assured Mr Ahiafor of their support and prayers for wisdom, strength, and guidance throughout his entire new journey.
Mr Ahiafor took over the Akatsi South seat on the ticket of the NDC during a Constituency by-election in 2013 when the then MP, Mr Edward Doe Adjaho became the Speaker of Parliament for the Sixth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.
Also, Mr Andrew Amoako Asiamah, the Member of Parliament for Fomena was elected as the 2nd Deputy Speaker of Parliament, a position he occupied since January 2021.
