    Zakiya Ahmed, first ever Muslim to be crowned Miss Malaika 2022

    After 13 weeks of competition, the Emerald Queen of miss Malaika 2022 has been decided. The event witnessed the graceful crowing of the first-ever Muslim (Hijab) delegate Zakiya Ahmed at the Grand Arena on Saturday, November 12 , 2022.

    Coming in first and second place were Yayra and Becky respectively.

    The glorious climax of this edition of Miss Malaika, the emerald season was a fun-filled show with all past Queens and delegates gracing the event in celebration and cake cutting of the journey so far of the pageant, its achievements, and contributions at large.

    Ten beautiful ladies displayed their talents and intelligence before an awesome packed audience and astute judges Ama Sarpong , 2010 winner, Kofi Okyere Darko, renowned fashion designer, and radio host, Tourism Curator, Paa John, Berla Mundi, 2010, 2nd runner up and Naa Oyoe Quartey, 2013 winner.

    It was a night of electrifying crowds, the stage came alive with thrilling performances from  Lasmid,  KiDi, Adina, and Kelvyn Bwoy.

    The hosts for the show were OAP Naa Ashorkor Mensah – Doku and Joyce Mamle Ayeh.

    Miss Malaika Ghana, a prestigious beauty pageant organised by Charterhouse, was founded in 2002. The pageant has churned out several well-groomed and well-placed queens in various industries, from health to technology, finance to petroleum, construction to agriculture, broadcasting to tourism, and more.
