This year’s first edition of Western Region’s biggest and highly patronized trade fair, the Western Trade Fair, held at the behest of Media General’s Takoradi-based Connect FM will take off on Wednesday, September 28 at the Takoradi Shopping Mall.

The Western Trade Fair, which has been running successfully for the past four years, provides a unique avenue where prospective buyers can get all their basic necessities at one place without having to go through the hustle associated with purchases and also at competitive prices.

The 2021 September-October edition of the biannual event will run for five days and assemble over 60 exhibitors, who will be displaying various wares from personal effects, cosmetics, dresses, toiletries among others.

A Marketing Officer at Connect FM, Mawusi Dotse, assured patrons that the exhibitors have heavily discounted their wares to ensure that “you get so many things to buy with few Cedis”.

“To ensure that the interest is sustained, we have had series of engagements with the exhibitors to beat down their prices so that anyone who comes around can get something to take home.”

He added: “We also have several side attractions to entertain patrons. There will be live band music, there will be ‘Kiddie bash’ as well as other interesting and fun-filled events to engage patrons.”

Chief Executive Officer of Bagina Northern Collections Priscilla Bagina has participated in almost all the editions.

In an interview ahead of the Fair, she explained that “I keep coming because of the visibility I get for my products and the enormous response I get even after the trade fair is over. I also make good sales”
