A statement from the Police signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs, said the Police were on a manhunt to get the rest of the perpetrators, including Oliver Vormawor, one of the leaders of the group to face justice.

According to the police, the demonstrators who had unlawfully assembled at the 37 Intersection were seen attacking Police officers performing their lawful duties.

The statement said they also entered a police vehicle and picked the ignition key, threw it away, pushed down police crash barriers, obstructed traffic, caused unlawful damage, and disturbed the peace, among others.

It said all the suspects, including some of the leaders of the group, were in police custody and would be put before the court to face justice.

The statement thanked members of the public for their cooperation, assuring them that the Police remained committed to keeping the peace and ensuring security, law and order.
