    Raising Resilient Kids

It is important for parents to teach their children how to be confident in life. They must be taught resilience for when life turns challenging. If these values are instilled in them at a young age, they will grow up to be adults with strong personalities, ready to face any kind of adversity that life throws at them. If you are a parent, parenting coach Swati Gupta has 10 tips on essential skills that kids could learn from a young age. Read on to find out more.

    Make Mistakes, Learn, Grow

The child must also embrace mistakes and look at them as growth opportunities. The coach said that confidence is not afraid to ‘stumble’, it ‘dances through setbacks’.

    4/9

    Goal Getters

Make goal-setting a family sport. Celebrate victories, big or small, Gupta suggested.

    5/9

    Express Yourself

Encourage your little one to express themselves through art or poetry. Expressing their thoughts can boost their confidence making them believe they are superheroes wearing capes.

    6/9

    Decision Making

Your child must also be encouraged to make decisions. It can be turned into a little decision-making adventure.

    7/9

    Body Language

Teach your child how to look confident physically: standing tall, making eye contact, and having assertive moves.

    8/9

    Friendship Goals

Make sure your child has social skills, which can help boost their confidence. Ensure that your child grooves through social interactions.

    9/9

    Captain Independent

Give them little tasks. Allow them to conquer age-appropriate responsibilities solo.
