Ghana’s Covid-19 infections cases near 100,000 since the outbreak

Ghana is 26 cases short of reaching the 100,000 case mark for coronavirus since the disease was discovered in the country on Thursday, March 12, 2020.

This is according to the most recent Ghana Health Service (GHS) update. The total number of infections is 99,974. 818 people, including notable public officials, died as a result of this number.

Others recovered and were discharged after being infected. They make up to 95, 538.

Currently, 3,618 persons are battling the disease with fears that the country may be plunged into a third wave.

Out of this number, 26 are in severe condition while 15 are in critical condition. These are figures for the country as of Sunday, July 18, 2021.In an effort to limit the spread of the disease, a total of 1,379, 016 tests have been conducted in communities for contact tracing, as well as at the Kotoka International Airport for returning passengers.
