The Accra Sports Stadium would be unable to host Ghana Premier League (GPL) games for 14 days, according to the National Sports Authority (NSA).

According to Footy-Ghana.com, the stadium is being closed to allow for maintenance work on the playing surface.
According to a statement provided to the Ghana Football Association by the NSA, the work would be done from the 13th to the 26th of December

“The authority deeply regrets the inconveniences this request will bring to the clubs.”

Six games of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season will be affected by the closure.
