    Coronavirus: Ghana case count now 12,929 with recoveries at 4,468

    The Ghana Health Service has indicated that Ghana’s Coronavirus case count has risen to 12,929 out of a total of 261,319 tests.  People who have recovered are 4,468 with deaths remaining at 66.

    This current data brings the total number of active cases to 8,395 with 14 people in severe conditions and four in a critical state.

    “Fourteen cases are classified as severe and four as critical that are on ventilators,” the Director of the Disease Surveillance Department of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Badu Sarkodie said.

    Majority of the new cases detected in the Greater Accra region followed by the Western and Ashanti Regions. The new cases were recorded in eight regions of the country.

    Greater Accra recorded 154 new cases

    Western region recorded 58 new cases

    Ashanti region recorded 41 new cases

    Central region recorded 38 new cases

    Eastern region recorded 15 new cases

    Volta region recorded 3 new cases.

    Bono East region recorded 9 new cases

    The Northern region recorded 9 new cases

    Savannah region recorded 2 new cases
