Despite initial challenges with lighting, the collation of ballot papers at the EP Primary A and B polling centre in Adidome, Central Tongu district was successful.
The Electoral Commission (EC) officials had to resort to using phone torchlights to facilitate the process, but fortunately, the exercise was completed without any major hitches.
The presence of party agents, security personnel, and electorates ensured the smooth collation of ballot papers. According to the results, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) garnered 489 votes, while the New Patriotic Party (NPP) secured 28 votes.
The New Force had two votes while APC and CPP had one vote each. Seven ballots were rejected.
In the parliamentary ballot, incumbent Member of Parliament, Mr. Alexander Hotordze, polled 352 votes, while NPP’s Godwin Casola garnered 19 votes.
The successful collation of ballot papers at the EP Primary A and B polling centre is a testament to the dedication of EC officials and the cooperation of stakeholders.
