    NDC Rachel Owusuaa captures Dormaa East parliamentary seat for NDC

    Ms Rachel Amma Owusuaa, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Election 2024 Parliamentary Candidate in the Dormaa East constituency of the Bono Region made history, when she captured the seat for the NDC in the Parliamentary Elections.

    She secured 12,310 votes to beat her targeted rival, Mr Paul Apreku Twum-Barima, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) who had 12,050 votes.

    An Independent Candidate, Emmanuel Twih Gyabaah also obtained 126 votes, out of the 24,486 valid votes cast. There were 314 rejected ballots.
