The Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG) is set to hold its Gong Gong Awards, from April 28th to May 3rd, 2025.

The award, which is now called Gong Gong Festival of Creativity & Awards, is aimed at celebrating excellence in the advertising, branding, and creative communication industries.

According to the President of the Advertising Association of Ghana, Andrew Ackah, the refreshed Gong Gong Festival of Creativity will feature an exciting lineup of activities, including a Brand and Creativity Exhibition at the Accra Mall, where industry players and consumers can experience cutting-edge advertising and branding

A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, said this year’s event would be a week-long festival, culminating in the much-anticipated 17th Gong Gong Awards Night on May 3.

It is being held on the theme: “Disrupt & Inspire: Recognizing Brands and Agencies that Challenge Norms and Redefine Creativity”.

The statement said the event would celebrate outstanding creativity and innovation in Ghana’s advertising industry. It said the festival would also host panel discussions, masterclasses, and networking sessions to foster collaboration and innovation in the advertising industry.

“The Gong Gong Awards, which have been a hallmark of Ghana’s advertising industry for nearly three decades, will now include 17 award categories that recognize not only creative  agencies but also companies that own award-winning and outstanding brands”, the statement said.

As Ghana’s premier advertising industry celebration, the festival aims to spotlight groundbreaking ideas, celebrate innovation, and honor the brands and agencies that push the boundaries of creativity.

Awards Categories include Radio Craft Gong Gong, TV Craft Gong Gong, Press Craft Gong Gong, Out of Home Gong Gong and Media Craft Gong Gong.

It said under each category, there would be, at least, three different awards to be competed for.  The awards will honour the most impactful advertising campaigns and creative works spanning 2023 and 2024, the statement added.
