Mr Patrick Fiable, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira (THLD) has commissioned a three-bedroom nurses’ quarters at Wawase to support health care delivery.
The facility formed part of the government’s resolve to improve health care delivery in the community.
The project is also aimed at easing the pressure and difficulties nurses go through travelling in and outside the town to provide quality health care to the people of Wawase.
The project initiated by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and completed by the current administration, was jointly commissioned by Mr Fiable, the new DCE and Nana Kweku Adae III, former DCE of THLD.
Mr Fiable advised the beneficiaries to maintain the facility regularly to enable it last longer.
Mrs Elizabeth Gaisie, Physician Assistant of the Wawase Community Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound, commended the government and the District Assembly for the project and said it would motivate nurses to accept postings to the community.
She promised to maintain the facility and appealed for a laboratory to enable them diagnose diseases early to improve the health status of the people.
