In the heart of Accra’s vibrant coastal scene, something special is brewing a free, soul-stirring evening dedicated to the power of words, rhythm, and Ghanaian storytelling in its most authentic form.
On Friday, 14 March 2026, head to The Place, Laboma Beach for an unforgettable night of poetry, spoken word, honest dialogue, and creative inspiration. From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, this gathering invites poets, storytellers, artists, and culture lovers to come together under the open sky, with the sound of waves as our backdrop.

    What to expect:

    • Powerful spoken word performances that weave together tradition and modernity, celebrating Ghanaian languages, heritage, and lived experiences.
    • Honest conversations on creative ownership—what it means to tell your story in a world that often borrows without asking.
    • Practical tips on sharing your work safely and protecting your intellectual property in today’s digital age.
Whether you’re a seasoned poet, an emerging voice, or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of language, this is your space. No gatekeeping, no fees just pure creative energy, community, and connection.
Ghana’s creative scene is thriving, and events like this remind us why: our stories deserve to be heard, preserved, and celebrated. Spoken word isn’t just performance it’s resistance, healing, joy, and legacy all in one breath.
